ADAMAWA PDP INAUGURATES CARETAKER COMMITTEES AHEAD OF KEY PARTY ACTIVITIES.

The Adamawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated caretaker committees for all 21 local government areas in the state.
The party also swore in 21 caretaker secretaries and 63 ex-officio members,three from each local government to oversee party affairs pending the conduct of elections, in line with the party’s constitution.
Administering the oath of office, Barrister John Tunoh urged the appointees to strictly adhere to the provisions of both the party and national constitutions.
Speaking at the ceremony in Yola, the State Interim Chairman, Engr. Belmont Dogo, described the appointments as a reflection of the party’s confidence in the new officials.
He emphasized the importance of grassroots structures, noting that the caretaker committees serve as the engine room of the party at the local level.
Dogo called for unity, cooperation, and commitment among members, warning against actions that could create division within the party.
He further tasked the committees with engaging stakeholders to nominate delegates for the party’s forthcoming national convention.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, the caretaker chairman of Fufore LGA, Hon. Inuwa Umar, expressed appreciation for the opportunity and pledged dedication to strengthening the party.
